He's filled with gratitude. It's been a good year for him with all his prayers being fulfilled.
He was able to tick off a lot of things on his wish list and it's not even Christmas yet.
The award-winning content creator is full of excitement when he sits down with Drum to chat about how he had to travel to KwaMashu, in Durban for cameo appearances on popular SABC 1 telenovela, Uzalo.
Banele Ndaba, popularly known for his dancing and comic skits on TikTok as Moghelingz, tells us that when he got on set, he was surprised by how the cast and crew members on the soapie were excited to welcome him.
“These are the people I used to watch on TV and [they] are praising me so much, it was such a humbling experience for me honestly,” he tells Drum.
He says he didn’t expect it but is grateful that his wishes of being in a drama series on television were fulfilled when he received a call from the production.

"It is such a big thing for me, I have always wanted to be on big screens. When I landed the role, I was like to myself ‘OMG you are doing so good and you are just on the right track’ this is one of my huge achievements.”
He's so fabulous he plays himself in the story. “Moghelingz, a content creator invited for a talent show in KwaMashu. He will be there to assist Madongwe [played by Zama Mugubane] as well as uma’ Madlala [played by Ntombifuthi Dlamini] in winning the competition.”
He tells us he had a lot of fun playing himself and enjoyed the energy and how he jelled with the fellow cast members on set even though he says he wished for a more challenging role.
“Because most of the times I play Moghelingz and I love a challenge.”
He says shooting on set was so new to him and totally different from what he usually does when he shoots his content on social media.
“I don’t spend more than an hour to shoot my content so what makes it different is that on set you have to be there in the early hours at around 4/6 am and you have to know what you are shooting which can take hours just to shoot like a two minutes scene on screen,” he explains.
The 20-year-old, who recently just came back from his first international trip from the United Kingdom, says there is more that he is excited about which is yet to come as he elevates his content.
“I am going to be seen a lot on screen, so there is a production that is coming up which will be airing on Netflix hopefully next year,” shares the delighted creative.
“And also, there is a lot of content that I am working on for YouTube, where we will be producing and telling more black stories.”
