Her musical journey started in the church youth choir as a child.

After finally releasing her first well-received single in 2015 and taking her Christian R&B sound to the world, her first studio album dropped the following year.

She then released a Christmas single in support of a UK charity called colourful beginnings which supports families with premature babies which was followed by another album in 2021.

It was shortly after this that she too, was on the receiving end of compassion.

“Everything really came to a head on the 17th of April 2023 when I received what is probably the most dreaded news anyone could ever be handed - ‘you have thyroid cancer’. I went down a real mental spiral, as I struggled to accept the diagnosis,” Sarah recounts on a recent blog post where she talks about her journey of surviving cancer.

This cancer is caused by a growth of cells located on base of the neck, just below the Adam’s apple and it creates hoarseness as well as difficulty swallowing.

At this point, everything took a backseat so she could focus on her wellbeing and recovery.

Just three weeks after major surgery following her thyroid cancer diagnosis, Sarah finally put pen to paper to write an up-tempo inspirational song with a catchy hook and triumphant melody.
