Musician Swazi Dlamini has never been shy to show her support for Prophet Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church.
Swazi was among those who gathered this morning outside Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court in support of Bushiri and his wife Mary.
Bushiri and Mary are facing charges of fraud, money laundering and the contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (Poca) for offences they allegedly committed from 2015.
The singer took to social media to show that she was among the crowd who stood outside the court in support of the infamous pastor. She took pictures and a video clip which she posted on her Instagram page and is pictured wearing a black hoodie written, “#istandbymajor1”.
‘Major 1’ is how they affectionately refer to their leader.

“We are unshakable and unmovable we are undefeated #istandbymyprophets #istandbymajor1,” she said in another post.
“Defeated, You will Never Be! #istandbymyprophets #istandbymajor1”
The court case against the pair was then postponed to 29 November after a brief appearance.
“We would like to inform all our members and followers that the case has been postponed to November 29. We thank you for your prayers and please continue putting us in prayer. Let’s meet at Pretoria Showgrounds this Friday for a Night of Worship. We love you,” posted a Twitter account with Bushiri’s name and picture.
When the charges were laid against the duo earlier this year, Swazi wasn’t the only famous face at Bushiri’s defence.
Then leader of Black First Land First (BLF) Andile Mngxitama and Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader Julius Malema were.
“We know that Major One is being persecuted by this government because he is a black man who is successful out of his own effort and blessings from his God. The reason why [ECG] is under attack is because black people are abandoning the white establishment churches because there is no spirituality there,” Andile told The Citizen.

Julius was defending him on the spiritual side saying he’s not in court for that but other reasons. In a public spat with parody account Adv Barry Roux on Twitter.
“You can’t divorce criminal case from the spiritual aspect because spirituality on its own it’s a guide away from ills, including criminality. Any argument that seeks to separate this particular matter will be starting on a wrong foot,” @AdvBarryRoux account tweeted.
“But he's not charged for spiritual issues in court. Therefore, your argument is weak because issues are separated even in court,” Julius then responded.
