It is often said that men reach their sexual peak at 18 and women only at 28.
But is it really true that gender plays a role in when anyone reaches their sexual peak?
Not quite, says sexologist Dr Elna Rudolph.

She believes you reach your sexual peak when you’ve communicated enough about sex.
And what about the saying: Good sex comes to those who wait? That is not really the case, according to Dr Rudolph.
Rather, good sex comes to those who communicate better.
“Because the older you get, the better you can communicate about sex. Yes, your body may be ageing, but you learn to communicate better about what you want and that is how you reach your sexual peak.”
According to her you don’t need intricate language to communicate about sex. A few basic words that anyone can master are all that is necessary: faster, slower, up, down, left, right, deeper, harder, gentler and stop.
That’s it.
