December holidays are just over a month away and, for many, that means more family time.

It's stressful enough trying to keep yourself and the kids happy and avoiding getting on each others' nerves when you have a traditional nuclear family. But for those in blended families, this is an even more stressful time than usual.

Clinical psychologist Dr Esther Price shares how you can parent effectively after you and your partner and have both moved on. It's possible, she says, to have a cordial relationship with your ex’s new partner – just remember: the failure of the romantic relationship does not mean the failure of the parenting relationship.
