The outpouring of grief was overwhelming, and fans and friends of the late rapper shared moving messages of condolences and memories of Riky Rick almost daily as the news of his death by suicide spread.

There were other messages from equally devastated fans that showed depression is a subject cloaked in mystery for many people though, with some saying – how could he do something so selfish to his family, why did he not reveal his struggle, he seemed so happy . . .

The Sidlukotini hitmaker seemed happy in his marital life sharing two kids with Bianca, was on a the trajectory to superstardom in his career and, recently landed a gig with African Bank and, just before he died, had announced the return of Cotton Fest in March.
