Access to clean water is not only appreciated by human beings but by all animals as well.
Since Anglo American Platinum started a water project in Scheming Village in Mapela in Mogalakwena Municipality, Limpopo, it has brought much needed relief to the community.
The people in this village used to pay huge amounts of money for water.

Although human beings were the main focus of the project, it has now gone over and beyond just benefiting locals.
Cattle herder Elias Langa is one of the many villagers who is thankful of the change brought by the Hall Core Water Mapela project.
"This water helps us and our animals.
"Our animals no longer walks long distances to get water.
"Nowadays water is just around the corner and it's not just any water but fresh water.
"My cattle have started to look fresh as well...just look at them," said Langa, pointing at his thirst quenching flock of cattle.
He appreciated the fact that project planners also created a special point for the local animals to drink water from.
"We thank Anglo American Platinum because it shows that they were not only thinking about people but our animals as well," said Langa.
The provision of water in Scheming village was completed through the drilling of 60m deep borehole which provides 100 000 litres per day to over 2000 village dwellers.
More than R140 million will be invested by Anglo American Platinum by 2028 to benefit 42 villages around Mapela.
