APPLE has officially announced its next online event will be held on Tuesday, 8 March.

The Verge, a tech review website, reported that the announcement was made on Wednesday, 2 March and Apple posted a video on their social media platforms with a caption that read: “Peek performance.”

The video showed a multicoloured apple logo that could be used on new devices.

However, it is not clear as to whether Apple will reveal new products on the day but according to Bloomberg’s reporter Mark Gurman, Apple may announce a low-cost iPhone SE.

As speculated by Gurman, the new device will arrive with 5G, a faster A15 CPU chip, and better cameras.

“It will share the same design as the current iPhone SE, however, which means the new SE may also retain the Touch ID feature,” The Verge reported.

It is also reported that Apple is likely to announce the latest version of the iPad Air which is also expected to come with a new CPU and 5G for cellular-equipped devices.

The rumour doesn’t end there, Apple may roll out the latest iOS 15.4 update, making it possible to unlock Face ID-equipped iPhones and iPads while wearing a face mask.
