With its intuitive controls, digital cockpit and tablet-style infotainment display, the Amarok’s interior has a high-quality functional appearance.

The new digital cockpit and a vertically-aligned display unit with a 10 or 12-inch screen offers a better view and extensive control options.

It also comes with over 30 driver assist systems, 20 of which will be found in the new Amarok range for the first time.

The local product line-up will incorporate a vast majority of these autonomous driving technologies.

“As Volkswagen South Africa, we are proud that the new Amarok will not only be built in our country, thus supporting the local economy, but at the end of the year we will also welcome motoring journalists from around the world for the Amarok global media launch to be hosted in South Africa,” head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Mark Handley, said.

The new Volkswagen Amarok will retail in South Africa from the first quarter of 2023.
