MZANSI’s small hatchback just got even more interesting and drivers are spoiled for choice.
The introduction of the new third generation Grand i10 in Joburg this week showed that things are about to get exciting for this entry level market.

The 1.0 engine, three-cylinderive five speed manual and four-speed auto, performs quite well in this car, thanks to light body offering 49kW and 95Nm in the Grand i10 Fluid and a 1.25-litre, four-cylinder option bringing 61kW and 114Nm.

One thing you might not like is that it revs quite high, showing rather that a six-speed transmission is now becoming a necessity than just a privilege, no matter how small the car is.

If you, like me, liked the first generation Grand i10 but were let down by its very small twinki twinkie size, you will be happy now that it is a bit bigger and better, measuring 3805mm in length and riding on a 2450mm wheelbase.
Pricing starts from R191 900 to R256 900.
