We need jobs, not data! - Phosa Makondo Mtititi Altein

accreditation

Communications Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni has promised that the government will provide 10GB of free data per month to every South African household.

She said this in her speech during the State of the Nation Address debate.

What for? Government must use that money allocated for free data to create jobs. How much is 10GB? Data is very expensive in South Africa.

In some households, they don’t even have smartphones to load that data on.

I don’t see that free data improving the lives of South Africans.

People need jobs to feed their families, not data.
