Former president Thabo Mbeki issued a very concerning statement in Free State recently.
How could he say that if the ANC collapses South Africa would be ungovernable? He is an academic of note, I don’t know why he deliberately misled the public with such a reckless statement.
Factually, the same ANC he is talking about has a majority of its prominent members implicated in state capture. This is the same ANC that recalled him in 2008.
They recall all their presidents before they finish their second terms. He is taking us for fools.
How could he expect us to trust the same organisation that does not trust itself? There was life before the ANC and there will still be life even if it collapses. Mbeki must not undermine us by imposing a dysfunctional ANC on us.
