It’s time for a compromise! - Rachel Molema, Theresa Mews

accreditation

When a strike goes on for longer than 10 weeks, both workers and the mine suffer.

The Sibanye-Stillwater Mine strike has been going on for four months.

Workers have also been sleeping on the lawns of the Union Buildings in Tshwane since last Thursday, 19 May.

They are asking for the Office of the Presidency to intervene in their protracted wage negotiations.

To fix this, both unions and mine leaders should meet and reach a compromise.
