THE FACTS

SKHUMBUZO Nkosi from Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, has a problem with Tracker. He says when he bought an Isuzu bakkie, he had a tracking device installed and when it went missing in Benoni, he contacted Tracker to trace it.

He was shocked when he was told the device was removed and left on the street in Daveyton.

WHAT I DID

I contacted Tracker to get clarity.

SOLUTION

Reyana Gangat confirmed that on 22 September 2021, the car was activated four minutes after a signal. Three calls were placed to the client and his emergency contact to confirm theft.

On the third one, Tracker reached the client, confirmed it and activated. Fragments of the car, including the device, were recovered 41 minutes later. They were taken to the police for insurance purposes. The billing on his account was stopped 30 days after the activation – a standard procedure in the event of partial or no recovery.
