THE FACTS

BOYKIE Leeuw from Kimberley said he worked for a company based in Joburg.

During the course of the pandemic, he was dismissed from work. But he was never paid his salary and provident funds.

ADVICE

Generally, upon dismissal, an employee is entitled to payment for their notice period or the number of days they have worked.

This means you have to be paid for the duties you performed while still working. As for the provident funds, you need to contact your Human Resources department to advise who your provident administrator is, and then engage with them.
