BAROKA FC could be relegated to the GladAfrica Championship on Saturday.
The Limpopo-based side host SuperSport United in a win of bust match at Peter Mokaba Stadium (3pm).
Baroka are rooted at the foot of the log with 22 points from 28 games.
They will be relegated should they fail to win against SuperSport in their penultimate fixture, and should Swallows FC beat Chippa in the other relegation match.
For Bakgaga to survive, they need to win their remaining two games and hope for other results to go in their favour.
“We have a plan. We have to go all out against SuperSport, as much as they want to consolidate their place in the top eight we need to survive,” said Baroka coach Vincent Kobola.
However, he knows that they will be doomed if they lose and other results do not go their way.
Kobola added: “For me, the most important one is against SuperSport. It will be too much to ask the players to secure at least a (promotion/relegation) play-offs spot if we lose this weekend.
“It’s not in our hands. If we win both games and other teams win, there’s nothing we can do. We just need to do our business and remain hopeful that other results favour us.”
After the SuperSport fixture, Baroka face Maritzburg United in the last match of the season. Swallows and TS Galaxy are another two teams that are in danger of being relegated.
The Birds are 15th with 24 points, and Galaxy are in 14th spot with 26 points.
Galaxy host Marumo Gallants at Mbombela Stadium on the same day (3pm).
Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic said players understand what will happen if they do not get maximum points.
Ramovic added: “Everyone knows where we are on the log. I don’t have to emphasise that.
“They understand that if we don’t get points, we will be in big trouble.
“If the players can’t handle the pressure, then they are in the wrong place.”
