Vaal President’s birthday poster has landed him in big trouble.

VAAL President is in hot water for advertising his birthday celebration on social media while seemingly wearing South African National Defence Force (SANDF) uniform over the weekend.

On Sunday, 11 September, the military issued a statement on Twitter.

It said it was alarmed that the person was advertising his birthday in army uniform.

The party took place on Saturday, 10 September, at a pub in Sebokeng, Vaal.

The statement warned community members that it is a criminal offence for members of the community to be in possession of army uniform or artifacts.

“I never thought it would go this far,” he said.

Macholo said the uniform on the poster was not the real army uniform and the photo was photoshopped.

“I don’t even know where I can get a uniform,” he said.

A source close to Vaal President said he was paid R1 000 by the owner to host his party at the pub.

The source said that he thinks Vaal President is hiding from the law enforcement officers after he learnt of the SANDF statement.

Pub owner Bhekisisa Nhlapho said their lawyer advised that they must not talk about the matter, so that they don’t jeopardise the case.

His phone has been on voicemail and when he can’t be found at his place. The SunTeam tried to call Vaal President but his phone was off and he never responded to questions sent to him.
