GROOVISTS at MacNose Cafe in Soshanguve, Tshwane, were left shocked over the weekend when gunmen stormed into the premises and robbed them.

The night of boozing and dancing on Sunday, 6 March, ended with partygoers hiding for safety under the tables.

Videos of the incident have since been doing the rounds on social media.

In a video shared on a Facebook page by South Africa Daily, one man is heard shouting “dubula” (shoot) while gunshots are fired in the background.

According to radio station Kaya 959, no one was injured during the robbery.

Police are investigating the incident.

On Tuesday, 8 March, MacNose Cafe said it was grateful there were no deaths or considerable damage during the attack.

It has tightened security to prevent similar incidents from happening and said the matter was receiving urgent attention by the justice system.

It has since gone back to business as usual, hosting its Mogodu Monday event on Monday, 7 March.
