THE 21-YEAR-OLD man linked to the discovery of six decomposed bodies of women believed to be sex workers appeared in the Joburg Central Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 25 October for his bail application.
The case was postponed last week to allow the state to conduct an identity parade.
The man was arrested earlier this month after the bodies were discovered in a building in the Joburg CBD.
According to the police, they were called to the building after a security guard complained about a stench.
Police spokeswoman Brigadier Brenda Muridili said the suspect is said to have been the last one to be seen with one of the women.
She said: “Unfortunately, the other five bodies are at the late stage of decomposition. They will be subjected to forensic analysis for identification. The Gauteng Murder and Robbery Unit is investigating.”
The man is facing a murder charge for one of the women.
