THE Merafong Municipality in the West Rand is experiencing a series of challenges, which range from water disruptions, collapsed and leaking pipes, storm water drainage issues to illegal water connections.

Now residents in Khutsong are facing worsening sinkholes, which have left them fearing for their lives.

Resident Dikeledi Dikgwamaje told Daily Sun that she has lived in Khutsong since she was born and they have been having a problem with sinkholes for the past seven years.
