ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula led the Tshwane People's March from Marabastad to Tshwane House on Friday, 17 March.
Accompanied by the Provincial Executive Committee of Gauteng, Sacp, Cosas, Sanco, Anc Youth League and Anc Women League. The purpose of the march was to reclaim the city of Tshwane back by the ANC.
The ANC and its alliance complain of mismanagement and worrying service delivery failures in the city.

Mbalula also called the EFF's shutdown an anarchy, saying it will hinder the operation of businesses and people going to work. He said ANC will not support it.
He said the elections are not until next year. Referring to the #BuyaTshwane People's March launched in Mamelodi on Wednesday, 15 March. He said this is a campaign that will be carried out in all municipalities where ANC does not govern.
"We have accepted the blame of the DA for the past seven years they came into power in 2016 through coalition. We lost power and respected that," he said.
They also claimed that they were in charge in Tshwane and that the governed the best.
"Tshwane is an opposite of that, black townships have actual deteriorated in terms of their situation. Operations that were launched and programmes have collapsed," he said.
Mbalula said there is no development there.
"Our councilors have no power, the DA led coalition have the power.
Thabang Sonyathi representative of COSATU provincial chairman said: "We are tired to work without guidance of leadership. Workers are committed in serving the people of Tshwane. We can't do that while attacked through politic bargaining."
Jerry Thibedi from SACP central committee said: "People of Tshwane march on, we will continue supporting ANC."
The City of Tshwane speaker Mncedi Ndzwanana received the memorundum.
