THEY were allegedly kidnapped by the taxi driver and his friends. 

Victims, who were six tavern patrons and two bouncers, were kidnapped on the accusations of stealing the taxi driver's gun and R15 000 in cash. 

In the early hours of Monday morning, 15 January, the victims were bundled in a taxi by the driver and his five friends and taken to an isolated spot in the bush along the R25 in Olifantsfontein.
