AS LOAD shedding continues to plague Mzansi, thugs attack Eskom officials on duty.
On Tuesday 25 May, three armed thieves attacked Eskom technicians and robbed them in block E in Mabopane, Tshwane.
Eskom Gauteng safety manager Kith Maitisa said there were two other recent attacks on technicians in Mabopane and Soweto.
“Two technicians were attacked by armed perpetrators while they were inspecting meter boxes in block E,” he said.
“The perpetrators demanded their wallets and cellphones and took off in a vehicle without number plates.”
Maitisa said in another incident in Mabopane, a technician was robbed of a cellphone and money at a substation.
