SUSPENDED Tshwane University of Technology SRC president Keamogetswe Masike is not happy about the delay in the outcome of his suspension.
He said the continued postponement of his disciplinary matter by the university shows that there is no real case against him. Masike was suspended by the university on allegations of misconduct. His next hearing was postponed to 7 September to 27 September, and then to Wednesday, 11 October.
He was suspended after weeks of protests by TUT students against the NSFAS direct payment system called eZaga.
Masike said the enemy brutalised him to intimidate students because the university knows that the only way to liquidate student activism on campus is to eliminate leaders to create fear so that students will not have confidence.

"It is unfortunate that I have been isolated and brutalised by the system. I maintain that this is rubbish, that my suspension is unjustified and that there is nothing wrong with seeking to destroy a system designed to exploit and destroy black students. The system wants to deny black students access to education and that is the only crime I have committed in the fight against education," he said.
He said the system must be destroyed because it is evil. He said students are still not getting their allowances on time because it is too little and there is lack of consistency.
"I have sacrificed my education so that the masses of students can benefit. I was not suspended for using drugs or alcohol or raping, but for standing up against the brutal system," Masike said.
Tshwane University of Technology spokesperson Phaphama Tshisikhawe said: "The hearing is not suspended as alleged. It will continue after the recess."
