POLICE need help to locate the family of Bekumuzi Msibi, who was found dead in a shack.

Tshwane police spokesman Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said an inquest docket has been opened for further investigation following the incident.

Van Dyk said Temba police in Tshwane received information about a person who died at Bochabeli section in Temba, Eersterust on Friday, 22 September.

He said on arrival, a neighbour told cops that there's a man called Bekumuzi Msibi in the shack, adding that he was lying on the floor with his knees bent and was naked, with no visible injuries.

"The police went inside the shack and found the deceased, believed to be from Mpumalanga. Next to him they found an ID card and a cellphone," he said.

Van Dyk said police are trying to locate the family of the deceased and urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

"Anyone with information should contact investigating officer Constable Monyamane on 082 4160 705," he said.
