Elsie told Daily Sun that she had hoped they would get their own RDP house by the time the owner of the house is back, but they're still waiting, even though they applied for the house 12 years ago. She said they were now squatting in their neighbours' houses.

“I’ve been trying to get a house, but we can’t find anything because we don’t have money to rent because we don’t work,” she said.

She said that they feel embarrassed and humiliated.

“I have a big family and it hurts that we are homeless now,” she said.

Elsie said she is pleading with SunReaders to help them.

“We would really appreciate any form of help right now. We are pleading with SunReaders that whoever can help us get a place to stay is more than welcomed,’ she said.

Elsie’s husband said they have tried to get a place, but with no luck.

“We would be happy to get assistance. It is not a good situation to be in,” he said.

Daily Sun tried tried many times to contact the landlord concerned, but with no luck.
