WHEN a five-year-old boy went missing in March 2023, residents of Lindelani squatter camp in Benoni, Ekurhuleni accused sangoma Nikeziwe Mdlalose of kidnapping him.

A group of people even attacked the 41-year-old sangoma at her shack, accusing her of kidnapping the little boy so she could thwala with him.

Luckily, Nikeziwe's life was spared when the boy was found sleeping with her child, but she spent several days in hospital after the attack.
