accreditation

FREE STATE cops have launched a manhunt for armed suspects who robbed employees of a home store in Virginia at gunpoint.

According to Captain Stephen Thakeng, on Friday, 8 April at about 4.20pm the manager and his four female colleagues were working when four unknown men entered the business premises.

“One man was armed with a handgun and the three others were not armed but had masks covering their faces. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and about 300 cellphones were stolen from the business premises,” Thakeng said.

He said the incident was reported to Virginia police and a case of business robbery was registered for further investigation.

“Suspects are on the loose and residents are requested to assist in tracing them,” Thakeng added.

Should anyone have information that could lead to the arrests of the armed robbers, they can contact Detective Sergeant Morena Machalotsa at 073 729 1732 or call 08600 10111.
