accreditation

THREE people were killed and three others injured following a head-on crash between a taxi and a car on the R501 between Carletonville and Potchefstroom.

ER24 says when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the taxi and the car off the side of the road.

“On closer inspection, paramedics found a man and two women lying inside the car. Unfortunately, all three patients had already succumbed to their numerous injuries.

A woman, a man, and a young girl were found lying outside the vehicles,” ER24 said in a statement.

The patients were assessed, and it was discovered that a woman and child were in critical condition while a man had sustained moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for further care.
