MEMBERS of the Kgobane family in Rustenburg, North West said they greatly appreciate the efforts made by everyone to rescue their baby from a borehole.

Following the incident which happened on 16 March 2023 when one-year-old Thoriso Kgobane fell into a borehole 13-metres deep, the family said the boy was still doing well.

Thoriso was rescued four hours later with no injuries. According to the family, on that fateful day, they had to wait for more than an hour before action could be taken as help was too far. The family told Daily Sun they now regarded the month of March as Thoriso’s second birth month.
