GAUTENG Education MEC Matome Chiloane is pleased that police have arrested a third suspect.
This happened after about 90 pupils at Pulamadibogo Primary School in Soshanguve, Tshwane, ate muffins suspected to have been laced with dagga.
The shocking incident happened on 20 September, and it's alleged that they sold muffins to school children. It is further alleged that the children started vomiting, got stomach cramps and behaved strangely at school.
The two men, Amukelani Nyulunga (19) and Ofentse Maluleka (21), were already in prison for nine counts of attempted murder for selling muffins laced with a narcotic substance to children.
The recently arrested suspect and the first two suspects appeared in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Friday, 29 September after the case was postponed when they first appeared last week.

Gauteng NPA region spokeswoman Lumka Mahanjana said the three men, Nyulunga, Maluleka and Katlego Matlala (29), appeared in the Soshanguve Magistrate Court on 29 September.
The men now face 28 counts of attempted murder following 19 other charges of selling muffins laced with a substance with narcotic effect to children.
"Matlala surrendered to police and was arrested on 26 September 2023 after evidence linked him to the crime," said Mahanjana.
She said the matter was postponed to Wednesday, 4 October to file a formal bail application.
