A TEENAGE girl living in Italy was killed after refusing an arranged marriage.

The family of 18-year-old Pakistani girl Saman Abbas allegedly threw her out on the street when she refused the marriage.

She was then later tracked down by her uncle and allegedly strangled to death before being buried.

Police shared footage allegedly showing the uncle carrying the shovel he had used to dig the grave.

According to The Mirror, the uncle was accused of killing Saman and burying her body at an unknown location in the Italian city of Novellara on the night between 30 April and 1 May.

Four other family members were reportedly also under investigation for their role in the crime, including her parents.

The whereabouts of the uncle were unknown while the parents had reportedly fled to Pakistan.

The teen’s life was turned upside down when her father reportedly told her that she was expected to accept an arranged marriage.
