OPERATION Okae Molao led to the arrest of 911 suspects for various crimes in Gauteng on Wednesday night, 3 August.
A total of 197 suspects were arrested for gender-based violence.
Gauteng Police Deputy Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni said a further five illegal immigrants were arrested and that the Department of Home Affairs will follow its processes.
Another stop-and-search operation was held on the Golden Highway in the Vaal, today morning, 4 August, from
6.30am to 11am.

Officials from the Sedibeng Cluster, Emfuleni Traffic Police, Gauteng Department of Community Safety and the Department of Home Affairs all joined forces, under the command of Major-General Tommy Mthombeni.
The operation focused on drinking and driving, searching for stolen or illegal goods, drugs, illegal firearms, stolen and hijacked vehicles.
The detectives were also tracing suspects wanted for the contravention of protection orders and possession of stolen goods.
Major-General Tommy Mthombeni asked all stakeholders to prevent any action that may threaten the safety or security of community members.
The first person to be arrested this morning was nabbed for drinking and driving, possession of dagga and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Sedibeng Cluster spokeswoman Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said during the operations, 19 traffic fines valued at R9 500 were issued to motorists for the contravention of the Road Traffic Act.
A total of 33 illegal immigrants were also arrested.
Maxambela said other cops visited sheebens in the Evaton township where they managed to arrest three people for not having liqour licences and their shebeens were shut down.
The officer added that three people were arrested for dealing in dagga, two for illicit cigarettes and three for possession of dagga.
Dagga weighing 642g was booked in.
According to Maxambela in the two roadblocks that were conducted, 647 vehicle were searched, 101 vehicle were tested and one vehicle that was reported stolen in Seville was recovered.
The arrested suspects are expected to appear in different magistrates courts soon.
