FREE State police arrested a 37-year-old suspect on Monday, 2 May, for dealing in drugs on Exton Road in Hilton, Bloemfontein.
According to Lieutenant-Colonel Thabo Covane, police received information from a community member about the drug post in the area and immediately followed it up.
Covane said the cops arrived at the identified address and approached the suspect to ask him for permission to search the premises.
“The search started after consent was granted and seven large plastics containing crystal meth and another small one also with crystal meth inside were found. The 37-year-old man was then arrested for possession and dealing in drugs,” he said.
Covane said a case docket was registered at Navalsig Police Station.
“The seized drugs and cash believed to be the proceeds of the sale were booked in the Evidence Management System. The suspect will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 4 May,” he said.
