A SEVERE storm that swept through the Mbombela in Mpumalanga on Tuesday, 21 November left sex workers out in the cold.
This happened after strong winds damaged one of the buildings in Anderson Street where they operate from.
The Mbombela cop shop, the Ilanga Mall and the ANC offices are among the buildings that were severely damaged.
Several vehicles were also damaged, and trees uprooted.

City of Mbombela spokesman Joseph Ngala said emergency teams are still assessing the extent of the damage.
Meanwhile, Lindiwe Msibi, the spokeswoman for co-operative governance and traditional affairs, has urged communities not to endanger their lives by crossing flooded bridges.
She said the department will continue to keep the public updated.
"Provincial and local disaster management teams are on high alert to assist communities in need as more rains are predicted.
"We are advising people to take precautions. Motorists are advised to drive carefully on slippery roads to avoid accidents," Msibi said.
