Ntombehle Mpanza who was allegedly stabbed to death by her son.

A BODY with several stab wounds lay in a pool of blood.

Ntombehle Mpanza (45) from Sonkombe Village in Ndwendwe, KZN was stabbed several times in her house on Wednesday, 19 July.

It's alleged that her son, who is a drug addict, stabbed her.

According to a resident, Ntombenhle and her son had an argument on Tuesday after she lost R2 000 and suspected that her son had stolen it.

"The situation between the two was very tense. That's why we suspect the son stabbed her during the day on Wednesday. During the day, the kids are at school, so Ntombehle often stays with her gogo, who is 93 years old and can no longer hear or see properly. Knowing this, the son probably stabbed his mother and then left," said the resident.
