GOGOS and madalas fear that their Post Office will soon be closed.
They said they'd suffer if that were to happen as they relied on the Post Office to withdraw their Sassa grant.
This comes after criminals broke into the Sekgopo Post Office and stole cash amounting to R27 690.
The incident happened on Saturday morning, 4 November in Ga-Sekgopo Village outside Modjadjiskloof, Limpopo, after the suspects broke in through the roof.
It is alleged that the criminals found an employee inside the office, pointed a gun at her and covered her face.
This has stressed the gogos and madalas, who fear the Post Office could be closed if the break-ins continued. It was the third time the Post Office had been robbed this year.
Another incident happened in July 2023.

Gogo Mokgadi Monyepao (66) said: "This Post Office is very convenient for us because it's near to us. We will be in trouble if it closes because we are too old to go to town and withdraw our money. These criminals are ruining things for us."
Others said if the Post Office was to close, it would be a death sentence for them.
Another worried madala, Rufus Molewa (71) said: "Our grandkids are very naughty, and we can't send them to town to withdraw our grant money. They'll rob us. Even if we go to town ourselves, we are vulnerable against the criminals because we can’t defend ourselves."
Limpopo police spokesman Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said a 39-year-old woman was approached at the Sekgopo Post Office by an unknown person who covered her face.
"They then pointed a firearm at her and demanded money. She then opened a safe, and they took money totaling R27 690.
"They handcuffed her and escaped through the roof. No shots were fired, and investigations are ongoing," he said.
