ON Monday morning, 5 June, two pupils lost their lives and 20 were seriously injured after the school bus in which they were travelling lost control.

The two pupils who died were from the village of Spitskop outside Polokwane in Limpopo and they were on their way to Sehlomola Primary and MR Mamabolo Secondary School.

The injured pupils and the driver of the bus were taken to Mankweng Hospital for medical attention. Two pupils are in a critical but stable condition and 18 others were treated and sent home.
