KGOSHI Letsiri Phaahla has condemned ActionSA for claiming he was bought to join Mkhonto weSizwe (MK).
He said the allegations are meant to damage his reputation and the image of the royal house.
“This buying allegation has malicious intent and is aimed at discrediting me as a Royal leader and the entire Royal leadership institution that we are so cheap and spineless to be easily bought by politicians or political parties,” said Phaahla.
He demanded that ActionSA retract the allegations, or it will have to prove that in a court of law.
Phaahla pointed out that MK was not there when he joined ActionSA.

He said what attracted him to MK was its ideological offering on matters relating to land ownership by black majority, restoration of Royal leadership and elevating it to its historical status, and the customary law relegation in contrast to common law.
Phaahla claimed he has more than 15 years fighting for the same things and they could never be achieved within ActionSA.
He said the second reason he left Herman Mashaba’s party was the lack of funding for elections in provinces and expecting members to fund party election campaigns.
He said he could not allow himself to be set up for failure as provincial leader and had no other option than to quit before being accused of failing to deliver the province.
The party announced his resignation on Friday, 8 March.
ActionSA chairman Michael Beaumont said they were informed of Phaahla’s decision to leave on Thursday, 7 March.
The head of the Phaahla Makadikwe Traditional Council in Sekhukhune and the former chairman of the Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa in Limpopo cited resources-related challenges in his resignation letter.
Phaahla said: “These leaders are pathetic losers who try to shield their disregard and inconsideration of provinces pertaining to their zero budget offering to provincial election campaign. The very same writer came to my Royal kraal to welcome me into ActionSA. Did he buy me to join them from the ANC? Hell no. Why would he now claim that I'm bought for joining MK while he did not buy me to join their party.”
