WOULD-BE-ROBBERS were stopped in their tracks after they were bust before they could go ahead with their mission.
This is after the Northern Cape Organised Crime Detectives assisted by Kimberley Flying Squad, Kimberley K9 Unit and Warrenton Visible police members, foiled a possible armed robbery and arrested the six suspects.
Police Captain Olebogeng Tawana said in a statement, "The suspects were on a mission to execute an armed robbery in Holpan near Windsorton.
"On Saturday, 09 July 2022, the team operationalised intelligence regarding an armed robbery which was planned to be executed in Holpan. The suspects' vehicle was intercepted on the Holpan gravel road and searched. The suspects were found in possession of four unlicensed firearms."
