IZANGOMA and faith leaders held a cleansing ceremony on Thursday, 27 October.
Various stakeholders, including law enforcement and taxi associations, joined Gauteng community safety MEC Faith Mazibuko on the Hornsnek Road, Tshwane, to send spirits on their way.
Traditional healer Sello “Mollo” Monare said the spirits of people who died in accidents gathered on roads when their families didn’t fetch them, causing accidents.
He said the spirits were stubborn but they managed to talk them into leaving.
