WHILE politicians in the City of Tshwane are busy voting each other in and out of office, residents of the city continue to suffer in silence.

And the circus in the city is so bad that some residents have even lost track of who their mayor and speaker are. Service delivery has almost collapsed in the city, with water and sanitation services being at their worst.

One of the hardest hit areas is Hammanskraal, which is home to more than 100 villages without consistent water flow and no sewer system.

On top of that, the majority of residents in the area continue to face the indignity of using pit toilets, which often lead to the deaths of kids.
