NOBODY was home. Doors and even the gate of the Mondleki family were locked when the raging fire started consuming their house.

By the time the family arrived, it was too late. Nothing could be saved as the flames had already swallowed everything.

The tragic incident happened on Thursday, 7 September in Ngqabe Road, Philippi.
