R200K reward to help find Mtwa’s killer

EASTERN CAPE cops are offering a cash reward of R200 000 for information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect involved in the murder of Namhla Mtwa.

Mtwa was murdered at her home on the evening of Thursday, 21 April, in Mthatha.

According to Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, the 35-year-old was allegedly shot and murdered inside her car by an unidentified suspect while she was driving into her Sidwadwa-based home.

“She sustained gunshot wounds in her upper body and was declared dead at the scene. Intensive investigation is currently underway in order to trace and arrest the culprit,” Kinana said.

He said the cash reward, which can help apprehend the suspect responsible for Mtwa’s murder, is offered as part of the ongoing investigation process.
