FIFTY pairs of shoes were donated by the Mthunzi O Muhle Group and Anonymous Hope Foundation to the Nwankupana Primary School.

The donation was made at the school in Kildare Village, near Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga recently.

Anonymous Hope Foundation is non profit organisation that helps pupils from disadvantaged communities.

Businessman and hero to many, Adam Sibuyi, celebrated his 35th birthday with an act of charity to the school.

Anonymous founder Zoliswa Nzima said: their focus are children at the adolescent stage. “I’ve always had the heart to help less fortunate people, so doing this for the pupils in need was not a stretch outside my comfort zone. When I was approached to assist these children, I didn’t think twice.”

School principal Violet Nkuna expressed her gratitude. She said most of their pupils come from disadvantaged backgrounds and it’s difficult for the parents to provide everything needed at the school. She said the shoes will make a huge difference to the pupils.

“Some of the children were wearing wornout shoes and others were wearing flip-flops.

“We believe the new shoes will bring back their self-esteem and encourage them to come to school,” said Nkuna.

Sibuyi said the company was excited about the small difference they were making.

“Mthunzi O Muhle is committed to helping our communities. We acknowledge that it is through the grace of the communities of places like Bushbuckridge, who partner with us, that we are allowed to do business,” said Sibuyi.

“This is our way of giving back to our partners and to make a difference in the lives of people in these communities. What better nation-building initiative can there be than to dress a pupil?”

He urged other local organisations to come on board.
