THE school governing body (SGB) and the parents of pupils at Mogogelo Primary School in Hammanskraal are gatvol.
They said they will ensure they block the gates of the school to prevent the admin clerk from entering the premises.
Just before the schools could close, they demonstrated outside the gate saying they were gatvol of the ill-mannered admin clerk who has taken over the running all affairs at the school and wants to control everyone, including the principal.
They said for a while now they've been trying to get to the bottom of this matter but when meetings are called, the said admin clerk refuses to attend.
The clerk is alleged to have also taken duties supposed to be performed by the committee responsible for school nutrition and so far, the parents have complained that kids eat rotten chicken livers because she doesn’t inspect the food brought in by suppliers.

Speaking to Daily Sun, SGB secretary Kgopotso Shivambu said the clerk is a bully who does as she pleases and comes to work whenever she feels like it.
She said in January 2024, pupils didn’t get books on time because she allegedly didn’t place an order.
“We have a serious problem here at this school. The challenges are too many. This woman who is supposed to perform the duties of a clerk fails to abide by the rules. We call meetings but she has never attended any. She basically runs the school one-man and whenever we request to engage with her, she never shows up,” said Shivambu.
She said the pupils do not eat properly according to what they are supposed to eat.
Parent Jeanette Baloyi said things are not going well at the school and they're worried.
She said there are reports that the school has run out of funds and that only the clerk allegedly knows where the money is.
Another parent, Amogelang Nkuna said: “We can't be waking up daily in the morning to prepare our kids only for them to be fed rotten chicken livers. We just want her to vacate her position, clearly, she doesn’t want to work.”
Daily Sun contacted the National Association of School Governing Bodies, Matakanye Matakanye, who is the general secretary. He said the SGB should write a report and send it to the association so that the matter can be investigated further.
He said upon receiving the report, he'll contact the head of department and take it further to the MEC.
Elias Malindi, education spokesman in the North West, said: “The matter will be investigated.”
