IFP members and leaders, dignitaries, members of the Zulu royal family, amakhosi and many people have started arriving for Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s memorial service.

The memorial service was held on Wednesday, 13 September at the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Regional Sport Ground in Ulundi, KZN.

Prince Buthelezi died on Saturday, 9 September and will be buried at the same venue on Saturday, 16 September.

Amabutho and other top political leaders are also expected to be part of the memorial service.

IFP KZN chairman Thami Ntuli said they know that Prince Buthelezi was the people's prince and that none of them will be able to attend the funeral service on 13 September.

"We are still going to arrange other memorial services in regions and branches to give even older people who cannot travel an opportunity to say goodbye to Prince Buthelezi.

"He was a good leader who led the nation with integrity, and I looked up to him," he said.

Many people continue to visit to mourn with the Buthelezi family, but the family announced that Thursday, 14 September will be the last day that mourners are welcome to have a space for family rituals.
