A 70-YEAR-OLD gogo from Long Island in the United States died a gruesome death.
She was cruelly attacked by her family’s pit bull on Wednesday afternoon.
Gogo Marina Verriest’s husband returned home from work in the afternoon and discovered his wife’s mutilated body being dragged through the backyard by their dog.
The New York Post reports that it’s not clear when the attack began.

The husband called the cops and when they arrived, the dog turned and charged at the first cop on the scene, who opened fire, killing the dog.
When emergency services arrived, they declared the woman dead at the scene.
The officer who shot the dog is receiving treatment in hospital for trauma after seeing the carnage.
“The scene was pretty horrific. We don’t know what time the attack took place but there was obviously a lot of mutilation on the body, the arm, the face, and legs,” cops said.
