Amabutho leader Sipho Mhlongo told Daily Sun that they had been waiting for this day to come as the king’s soldiers.
“We are the king’s blanket and soldiers, and we are happy that the recognition for our king is finally happening after many squabbles. Today is just the formality of the recognition of our king as he was coronated in the kraal in August,” he said.
King Misuzulu ascended the throne after the death of his father, king Goodwill Zwelithini, and his mother, queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.
One of Amabutho women Hleziphi Shezi told Daily Sun that they were happy that the confusion was over.
“The sun has risen again, and king Misuzulu is our king. I’m happy to attend this event. Those who are still contesting our king must give up; it is clear that king Misuzulu has won his throne,” she said.
