PASTORS in the Free State embarked on a massive prayer session at the Phuthaditjhaba Multipurpose Hall on Sunday night, 17 March.
The prayer session was about asking God to end the deadly road crashes during the Easter holidays.
Pastors said the prayer was for zero tolerance on bad driving during this holiday period when thousands of congregants will travel all over the country to celebrate the Easter holidays at their respective churches.
Reverend Ruben Sokana said no one deserved to die on the roads.
Sokana said:
Apart from numerous crashes on the N1, and N 3, the notorious N5 between Bethlehem and Kestell towards Harrismith robbed Mzansi of soccer star Richard Henyekane, who died a couple of years ago.

Pastor Mohloki Mohaswane told Daily Sun they wanted to assist to end the mortality rate on the roads through sessions in their churches.
"It's only God with His power who can stop all the crashes. We have a strong belief that the situation will change if we keep on praying. We've decided to take our prayer sessions on the roads at least twice a year.
"We can't afford to lose our brothers, sisters, parents and children. Prayer is a powerful weapon we can use to stop accidents. Easter shouldn't be viewed as the bloody holidays. It must be a time for church and family reunions," he said.
Maluti bus line drivers were part of the two-hour prayer session.
Bus line board chairman Charlie Phoshudi said the prayer session should be held annually to protect lives on the roads.
